Terms and Conditions of Service

Welcome to LynkIt Logistics! By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. Please read them carefully.

Introduction
These Terms of Service govern the use of services provided by LynkIt Logistics ("we", "us", or "our").

1. General Terms

1.1. LynkIt Logistics provides courier and shipping services for packages from the United States to Jamaica.
1.2. All rates are quoted in Jamaican Dollars (JMD$) unless otherwise specified.
1.3. By using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions and acknowledge that they may be updated periodically.

2. Shipping Process

2.1. Customers must provide accurate shipping details and pay all applicable fees before packages are released.
2.2. Packages are processed and cleared upon arrival in Jamaica. Standard processing times apply.
2.3. Customers will be notified via email or SMS when their package is ready for collection.
2.4. Packages must be collected within 7 business days of notification to avoid additional storage fees.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1. Shipping fees are calculated based on weight and dimension. Refer to our Shipping Fee Guide for detailed estimated pricing.
3.2. All payments are due before packages are released.
3.3. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or online payment.                                       3.4. A processing fee is charged on all packages.
3.5. Prices are subject to change without notice.

4. Prohibited Items

4.1. The following items are strictly prohibited: firearms, explosives, illegal drugs, hazardous materials, counterfeit goods, and perishable items.
4.2. LynkIt Logistics reserves the right to refuse packages containing prohibited items.

 

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1. LynkIt Logistics is not liable for any damage, loss, or delay of packages beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, theft, or customs-related delays.
5.2 While LynkIt Logistics makes every reasonable effort to ensure the safe handling of all packages received at our warehouse, the condition of items upon arrival is beyond our control. As a standard practice, we do not open, or verify the contents of any packages delivered to our facility.

Accordingly, we shall not be held liable for any damage, defect, or loss related to the contents of a package, whether such issues occurred during prior transit or existed before delivery to our warehouse.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept that LynkIt Logistics assumes no responsibility for the internal condition, functionality, or completeness of any item or package received at our premises.

5.3. Customers are advised to purchase insurance for valuable items.
5.4. Claims for lost or misdelivered packages must be submitted within 7 days of the expected delivery date. We will assist in investigating claims with the carrier but cannot guarantee reimbursement unless the issue results directly from our negligence.

5.5 A package is considered lost if:

It has not been delivered within 30 days od the estimated deliver date.

It cannot be located within our system after a thorough investigation.

 

6. Storage and Abandonment

6.1. Packages not collected within 7 business days of notification will incur a daily storage fee of JMD$50.
6.2. Packages left uncollected for more than 15 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of accordingly.

7.0 Package Identification Policy

7.1 Legal Name Requirement
To ensure proper processing and customs clearance, all packages shipped to our warehouse must bear the recipient’s full legal name that matches the account registered with our service.

7.2 Use of Aliases, Nicknames, or Pet Names
The use of aliases, nicknames, initials, abbreviations, or pet names on shipping labels is strictly prohibited. Any package received under an unverified name will be classified as "Unknown" and shall not be forwarded for customs processing.

7.3 Consequences of Non-Compliance
Packages labeled with incomplete or unrecognised identifiers may be refused by customs, returned to sender, or held indefinitely at the warehouse without liability to our company. This delays processing, compromises timely delivery, and places an administrative burden on our logistics operation.

7.4 Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that their full legal name appears accurately on all shipments sent to our facility. By using our service, the customer agrees to adhere to this policy in full.

8.0 Purchases Over USD $100

8.1 All purchases exceeding USD $100 may attract customs charges upon arrival in the country. These additional charges are not included in our shipping fees and are determined by customs.

8.2 Responsibility:
All customs-related charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. Refusal to pay may result in delays, returns, or forfeiture of the shipment, for which we cannot be held liable.

To ensure smooth delivery, we recommend that customers stay informed about their local import regulations and be prepared to settle any applicable charges promptly.

8.3 Customs and Duties
All customs duties, taxes, and fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. We may assist in submitting required documentation but are not liable for any delays or fees arising from customs processing.

9. 0 Changes to Service
We reserve the right to amend these terms or any aspect of our service at any time.

10.0  Privacy and Data Protection

We collect customer data only for shipping purposes and do not share it with third parties, except as required by law.

11.0. Disclaimer

9.1. LynkIt Logistics is not responsible for delays caused by third-party services, including customs clearance and overseas shipping carriers.
9.2. While we take every precaution to ensure your package arrives safely, we are not liable for loss or damage resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
